OUR STORY

It all started with a crossroads.

We met while working in the same office on socially oriented projects, where architecture was conceived primarily for people. This first shared experience laid the foundations: a shared sensibility, an attention to people and to the real impact of spaces on quality of life, which contributes to the happiness of living.

Over time, each continued on her own path, developing her own practice and supporting residential and commercial clients in transforming their living and working environments. Then, joining forces became the obvious choice: to offer more to our clients, to push our approach further, and above all, to enrich projects through dialogue, exchange, and collaborative reflection.

Fibre was born from this encounter, these journeys and this desire to create meaning.

Our mission is to design human, responsible and sustainable architecture, accompanying with curiosity, listening and transparency those who wish to rethink their way of inhabiting the place; from concept to lived space.

Kim Cloutier

Architect OAQ, Passivhaus Designer and LEED Green Associate

A journey drawn between here and elsewhere.

Trained in Montreal and influenced by her time in France and Switzerland, she chose early on to broaden her horizons. In Zurich, she discovered a demanding architectural culture, attentive to construction quality and the role of the architect in society; an experience that permanently shaped her practice.

Back in Montreal, she explored projects of varying scales, from public, educational, and community spaces to socially oriented developments. Her work has become defined by a profoundly human architecture: places to live, grow, and gather. In establishing her own practice, she places comfort—felt, measured, and sustainable—at the heart of her approach, further developing building performance and sustainability through Passivhaus and LEED certifications.

Laurianne Deslauriers

Sustainable, sensitive, and thoughtful architecture

An experienced architect in Montreal and on the Canadian West Coast, she has developed a practice informed by a multidisciplinary background, including training in fashion design. This dual approach refines her vision, from concept to materiality, in a quest for aesthetics, functionality, and a precise response to needs. The links between creation, technical rigor and implementation define a practice where the constructive aspect is central, ensuring the sustainability of projects.

In Vancouver, she deepened her commitment to green architecture and obtained LEED certification. Back in Montreal, she shifted her practice towards socially oriented projects, placing equity, environmental responsibility, and well-being at the heart of her work.

WHY FIBRE ARCHITECTURE?

Fibre evokes the very essence of matter and life. Fundamental, it weaves, assembles and transforms to create a coherent and lasting whole.

Like our approach, it unites structure and sensitivity: flexible yet resilient, technical and emotional. Fibre speaks as much of construction as of human connections, passion, intuition, and commitment. It is architecture conceived holistically, where each element—functional, environmental, and human—intertwines with precision.
